In the course of Operational Qualification (OQ) general functionality of equipment and its separate units is checked. In particular, switching on/off, user interface functioning (keys, alarms, etc.), response of separate control components (valves, drives, motors) on corresponding signals, sensors operation, functioning of safety devices, alarms and error messages, correct run of process cycles / programs, operation of recording systems (printers, loggers, etc.). Depending on equipment some OQ tests may require presence of process media supply and product (or imitation).
